Je crie, donc je suis

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

I thought, at his age, that Louis Catorze would be too scared to try death-defying acrobatics, on account of his creaky old bones. Yet here we are.

I didn’t have to dare him, bribe him or even put up a sign saying, “No death-defying acrobatics”.

I have no words.

What.
The.
Hell?

Noooo, his athletic days are long gone!

I don’t think so. He thinks he is still very athletic.

He didn’t even do anything useful whilst up there. He sniffed every inch of door and wall in a suspicious manner, then jumped down.

Or making sure my magickal protections were wearing off, to allow as much evil in as possible!

The Grey Menace would jump at you from the top of the refrigerator. But even he never tried this stunt!

Good grief! Would he actually try to hurt you?

Just a friendly jump onto your chest to remind you who the boss was.

He did. But I wouldn’t like him to do this again!

A cat doesn’t know it is aging. And Louis is not that old. Have a look at your three pictures., we are provided proof via them 😺.

Timon, who is not yet 5, is far from being such an acrobat 😺.

They’re all so different, aren’t they? It’s so funny.

No, he jumped from the sofa! It’s still some way, plus the swinging door is a moving target, so I’m not quite sure how. Or why.

He’s still doing his aerobics…. A friend’s cat who is a sprightly 20ish still hunts. There is still a trepidation that a furious semi-naked blackbird will shoot out just over our friend’s head as he opens the front door..

Still hunting at 20+? Oh my goodness!

Mine use to leap from the tops of doors for years. The best of them was the late Tabbi Kat. She’d climb the glazing bars of the door then leap onto the sofa.

Hahaha! Was she just doing this for fun?

Fun might be the wrong interpretation, scaring the bejeezus out of me as she landed on the back of the sofa may be closer. Even better if I’m in the middle of drinking a mug of tea.

Every time my cat Freddie jumps to the top of a tall bookcase I have I hear his claws scrapping against the top and I am glad he made it safe. He does not thump to the floor though he thumps onto a table just below when getting off, If Louis insists on acrobatics then you can sing a little bit of the sentence of the song I sing to Freddie when he does this – It’s the daring cat on the flying trapeeze…

Noooo, we mustn’t encourage them! No more trapeze acts! 😱😱😱

Errrr yeah, Merlot doesn’t do that!! Alice’s Theo does, if an open door is handy he would even jump from on high and somehow balance his large body on the top to sit and watch the world go by!

Very nice. We had a cat who would jump from high places onto people. It was very disconcerting. We were never sure when she’d jump.
