Je crie, donc je suis

Remember when I had to lock myself in a room with Louis Catorze because he couldn’t behave during Zoom calls? Well, now, I am locking myself in a room with him because he can’t behave generally. It beggars belief that this is what has become of me.

When the beautician visited recently, naturellement Catorze barged into the bedroom and screamed. But, after tiring of that, he went back downstairs to torment Cat Daddy, and the last ten minutes of my supposedly relaxing treatment were peppered with cries of “Ouch! Get off!” from downstairs.

The little sod won’t leave Cat Daddy alone. Usually, at worst, this is just a bit annoying. However, because Cat Daddy is recovering from an operation, jumping onto wounds and digging claws into infection-prone skin is quite dangerous behaviour.

So it seems that Catorze absolutely cannot be left unsupervised with Cat Daddy for the moment. And this might present a slight problem when I go back to work on 1st September.

At least, this time, he’s not screaming to be released from the room. However, I’m getting Looks. And they aren’t particularly pleasant:

Mon Dieu.

It can take months to fully heal after a knee replacement. Am I condemned to spend this time locked in a room with a cat giving me the evil eye, to save poor Cat Daddy from further injury?

No, tell Cat Daddy to get some armor for his legs!

I think he needs one of those lap trays with a cushion underneath, but flipped upside-down so that Sa Maj can lie on the soft bit.

I was going to say “Catorze won’t lie on a hard tray” but of course it’s exactly the sort of weird thing he WOULD do.

You may have to mediate with some form of whatever that exotic fish was that he stole from your plates.

There is no heatwave at the moment. Perhaps Cat Daddy might protect his knee from Louis’s invasions thanks to a kind of armour or a mere shield 🛡️.

There is a saying which goes : « One need not hope in order to undertake, nor succeed in order to persevere. ». According to me, that expression suits Louis perfectly 😺 .

Louis and that photo poetically inspired me.

    The old sod
    Still has a great bod.
His voice does pierce the ear
    and his eyes certainly hypnotize!

Best of luck getting it all sorted out before you have3 to return to work and quick healing to Cat Daddy.

He doesn’t look happy. Maybe Cat Daddy can cover his knee with a heavy blanket, preferably made from Kevlar.

I might have to Google “Kevlar”!

They use it in bulletproof vests.

Oh my! It does sound like CD will need a shield, if not a full coat of armor, to keep his knee safe come September.

Catorze is VERY persistent. Just as well the knee is becoming stronger and less sensitive.

Maybe Cat Daddy should lock himself in a room

He’s more into the idea of locking Catorze in a room.
