What’s the most annoying trope in books or films?
It’s only annoying because people don’t heed the warning: if an animal is unduly agitated by someone or something, it’s bad news. Most likely, that person or thing is haunted. RUN.
Unless, of course, it’s the animal itself who is haunted. And, if you allowed them into your house, you only have yourself to blame. Sorry.
