Je crie, donc je suis

My favourite Catorzian summer photo.

Cat Daddy, to Louis Catorze: “Why are you lazing around indoors when it’s such a beautiful day? Why aren’t you outside, enjoying your last summer?”

Me: “What do you mean, “last summer”? You think he won’t have any more? Not even one?”

Cat Daddy: “SEVENTEEN, though? Come on.”

Why not? After all, we didn’t think sixteen were a possibility, yet here we are. And, aside from old man white hairs, extra neediness, and a lesser desire to scale the garden fence every evening, we aren’t really seeing any signs of his age.

Considering making the leap … then NOPING the hell out of it.

Joyeux Solstice à tous. Hope you and your furry overlords/ladies have a wonderful weekend.

He still looks pretty spry for an older cat.

I remember when my cat Lacy (RIP) stopped scaling fences. It was a sad day.

I know what you mean! Not long ago Catorze wouldn’t have hesitated to make that jump. These days, it’s a NOPE.

No, no, not sur Solstice already, winter just ended…

I adopted my Miss Penny when she was 16 and in poor shape already, but she lived until she was 19! Long life to Louis 🙂

Aww, Miss Penny! ❤️❤️❤️ Yes, Sa Maj was also in a bad way when he came here, although not in his WORST shape. I still have photos of his WORST shape, before he came to us, and they’re so bad that not even Cat Daddy has seen them. In fact, I’ve only shown them to one person in the world. 🥺

I am in Canada, where winter lasts until about June, and starts again in September or October…

Oh, I’m glad Catorze is wise enough to avoid such a dangerous jump in his elder years!
