Je crie, donc je suis

Louis Catorze has, somehow, worked through his phase of attacking the weighted blanket every time I unfold it. I don’t know how or why, but I’m glad that this has happened.

The blanket feels lovely when I’m cocooned in it but, on account of it being weighted (hence the name), unfolding it and putting it on is quite hard work. I find it quite challenging as a normal-sized human, so there’s no way that a 2.92kg cat should be able to manage it, right?

RIGHT?

This blanket had previously been folded up into a neat rectangle. I cannot fathom how teeny tiny Catorze managed to unfold it and spread it out across the sofa, yet that is what he did.

Look at the smug little sod. If you zoom in on his eyes, you’ll see that he’s not actually sleeping but just pretending:

Cat Daddy calls this fake sleep “that creepy alligator thing”.

Dear Louis looks delighted to laze on this weighted blanket. According to me, he doesn’t look neither creepy nor like an alligator. 😺

You know the creepy alligator thing, right? When they lie still, pretending to be a log, then suddenly snap at some hapless animal?

I think enlarging the screen is highly recommended to imagine it 🐊.

Awwww, he’s finally found a really comfortable place to sleep, sweet baby 🙂 I love it when cats are doing the alligator thing, it’s like they’re sleeping but still making sure we’re around to serve them if necessary!

And waiting to swipe us or nip our hands should we offend them by stroking them!

We don’t have a weighted blanket but our heated throw soon becomes weighted down with cats.

I’m mystified as to how he did this!
