Je crie, donc je suis

I have just upgraded Le Blog to the Premium version of WordPress, after running out of space on the previous one. I have no idea what kind of features are available on this plan, but no doubt I will find out soon.

When upgrading, I was asked to choose between a two-year and a three-year plan. Cat Daddy, of course, doesn’t think Louis Catorze will last much longer than a couple of weeks (although he’s been saying that for the past six years) so he didn’t think it worth my while upgrading at all. But I opted for the three-year plan, which would take Catorze up to eighteen and a half years old.

Yes, I know that this is quite a reach. But the little sod keeps surprising us, time and time again, with his resilience. He will probably outlast the whole darned lot of us. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he lived forever.

My immortal.

Thje Grey Menace, Clancy, made it to seventeen and a half in the relatively days of the early eighties. I can see twenty one…what’s the voting age in the UK? Or Maybe Catorze for PM?

You can see Catorze at TWENTY-ONE? Oh my goodness! The voting age here is eighteen and if he made it there, I’d be shocked yet overjoyed.

I’ve seen advertisements from a black cat in England looking for house staff. He fears his staff will die off before he does and needs back up!

I utterly agree with you, He looks exactly as you wrote 🙂. By the way, I would have liked to like your answer, but I carry on not being able to do it.

My old cat Zeke lived to be 19 years and 4 months, and I know of cats who have lived to 22, so I hope you opted for a longer term plan!

Nineteen is very impressive! What was the secret of Zeke’s longevity?

I really don’t know. Unlike Louis, he was a big guy, 15 pounds. He developed kidney disease in old age, which is what led to his demise. It’s quite common in older cats, apparently.
On the plus side, I just saw something about a 31 year old cat called Nutmeg, who’s supposed to be the world’s oldest.

A good idea that you opted for the three-year plan. I’m sure Louis will keep us company all that time… A great photograph btw…

He can look haughty and regal, when he’s not pretending to be all kittenish and cute.

Louis is so gorgeous 🙂 I adopted Miss Penny when she was 16.5, and she lived almost three years with me! And she was already in rough shape when I adopted her. You made the right choice 🙂
