Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?

No. None whatsoever.

Every time I start to think Louis Catorze is too old for one of his usual pastimes – catching mice, ambushing Ocado delivery drivers, picking fights with the local wildlife, that kind of thing – he proves me wrong. In fact, bragging about the fact that he’s finally calming down and giving me some peace virtually guarantees that he will pull some stupid stunt immediately afterwards, just to spite me.

Racing around trashing the house is another thing that I thought would be a thing of the past. Yet here he is, soon to be fifteen years old, still at it. Whatever “it”’ might be:

He’d better tidy up after himself.

That’s because he goes gadding about outside in the rain, and the rain makes his fur really soft!

I have a suspicion that he was only pretending to play with the wand. It was all a ruse to cause an avalanche.

The video is great. Unfortunately, Louis is probably too old for learning he’d better tidy up after himself. Cat Daddy and you should have taught it to him when he was a kitten 😺.

He came to us aged 4, by which time the damage was done. I blame his previous parents.

Because Timon is often weird, we blame the human beings who put him with dwarf rabbits during the first weeks of his life 😺 .

That’s hilarious! Does he hop? Or hide eggs around the garden at Easter time?

I love the video, and I love Louis 🙂 Rosie is a bit crazy like this at times and it makes me happy to see all her energy and her playfulness! (Today, a new Japanese student is coming to live with us, and I hope Rosie won’t be scared for too long and will quickly like her.)

Aw, I’m sure she’ll grow to love her! You must ask the student if she’s ever been to that Tokyo Bake Neko cat festival.

He is active for his age. You are doing something right!

He’s a massive shite for his age (and any age). We are definitely doing something wrong.

Reminds me of how I felt at 3 AM this Sunday morning. Lately both my cats have found places to sleep for the night and except for getting up and having a bite when I make my bathroom run they are quiet. Suddenly as I was turning over in bed Freddie started up with his noises and it sounded like the laugh of a demented clown, Then Tish replied something to her brother and suddenly there were screeches and the sound of thumping feet like pony hooves running about, I was getting ready to get up and let them have it but as suddenly as that started it ended and everything was quiet until I got up. I sure hope that does not keep repeating itself every early morning.

A demented clown! And hooves! This is all terrifying stuff! I’d even go as far as to say these were classic signs of a demonic infestation …

Right now I am not worried but I tell you this keeps up and I will begin to wonder what is really going on. One thing I can tell you for sure the sounds that Freddie knows how to make all can be scary especially when sometimes it sounds like at any moment he is going to start speaking English. One English word that he says perfectly is Mama and he repeats it until he gets my attention.

Oh my goodness! Do you have a crucifix in the house? And holy water? (And vodka?)
